Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Swarmy team (“we”, “us”) handles information when you visit swarmygame.com, contact us, or play official Swarmy builds (the “Services”).
1. Who we are
Swarmy is an independent game project. Contact: privacy@swarmygame.com or hello@swarmygame.com.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may process:
- Website logs. Standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamps, and requested URLs used for security and reliability.
- Contact email. If you email us, we receive the address and message content you send.
- Store / payment data. If you buy through a third-party store (for example Steam or itch.io), that store processes payment details under its own privacy policy. We may receive limited purchase metadata (e.g. that a license was sold).
- Optional analytics. If we enable product analytics in a build or on the site, we will disclose the provider and purpose in-game or on this page before or when it is turned on. You may be able to opt out in settings when available.
- Crash / diagnostic data. Optional crash reports may include device OS version, GPU/driver strings, and stack traces — not your personal files.
3. Information we do not seek
Swarmy is a single-player focused game. We do not ask for government IDs, precise GPS location, microphone audio, camera access, or contact-list access for normal play. Local save files stay on your device unless you deliberately share them with us for support.
4. How we use information
- Operate, secure, and improve the website and game;
- Respond to support and business inquiries;
- Prevent abuse, fraud, and attacks against our infrastructure;
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service;
- Understand high-level feature usage if optional analytics are enabled.
5. Legal bases (where applicable)
If GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on legitimate interests (running a secure game site), contract (delivering a purchase), and consent (optional analytics or marketing emails you opt into).
6. Cookies and similar tech
The public marketing site aims to work without advertising trackers. Essential cookies or local storage may be used for preferences or security. If we add analytics cookies later, we will update this policy and, where required, show a consent notice.
7. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited data with:
- Hosting, CDN, email, or store providers that process data on our instructions;
- Professional advisors or authorities when legally required;
- A successor entity if the project is transferred, under continuing privacy protections.
8. Retention
Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations (typically days to a few months unless investigating abuse). Support emails are kept as long as the conversation and ordinary business records require.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (HTTPS, access controls, least privilege). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. International transfers
Servers or vendors may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
11. Children
The Services are not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe we have done so and we will delete it.
12. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to / restrict certain processing. Email privacy@swarmygame.com to make a request. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
13. Do Not Track
There is no consistent industry standard for DNT signals. Our site does not currently change behavior based on DNT headers.
14. Changes
We may update this Policy by posting a new version with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted on this page when practical.
